Dr. Urban Recommends: In-Office Spinal Xrays

A spinal xray is a vital part of your overall evaluation.

A spinal xray is a vital part of your overall evaluation.

Most people experience back pain at some point, and often times it is preventable.

Consider this: we have three feet of spine that goes virtually ignored until something hurts. Simple, in-office digital xrays of your spine can prevent many common musculoskeletal problems that I see on a daily basis.

Most people typically have a dental professional take xrays of their teeth once or twice a year. This is an important preventative measure that can alleviate a variety of oral health problems. The same is true for your spine, which also needs preventative xray assessment.

There are four parts of the spine that are evaluated using our digital xray machine:

  • Cervical spine
  • Thoracic spine
  • Lumbosacral spine
  • Sacrum / coccyx

The spine's curvature can be plainly viewed and assessed, and orthopedic concerns that occur with the aging process can be identified and alleviated. I'm able to show you, quickly and accurately, potential trouble spots and misalignment and together we can identify solutions to prevent or treat painful issues such as arthritis, disc degeneration, bone spurs and abnormal curvature.

The spine's alignment is relative to almost all of your body's functions. Optimal spinal health is vital for overall health and well-being. I recommend a spinal xray, now available right in our office.

Call us today to schedule your digital spinal xray.
