Common in today’s world where we spend several hours a day using a computer, neck pain can be quite common.
Most people have experienced some form of neck pain.
The most common condition that contributes to neck pain is forward head and shoulder posture. Forward head posture is when the neck slants forward placing the head in front of the shoulders.
Also, a simple act of sleeping in the incorrect position, or maintaining poor posture can lead to neck pain. However, most episodes of neck pain are due to one of the following:
- muscle strain
- soft tissue sprain
- sudden force, such as whiplash
